Andrea L. Everett
Andrea L. Everett
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Affairs at the University of Georgia. I received my PhD from the Department of Politics at Princeton University in June 2012, and spent 2011-2012 on a research fellowship at Dartmouth College’s Dickey Center for International Understanding. Prior to my graduate studies, I received a B.A. from Stanford University and studied in Berlin as a Fulbright Scholar.
My research and teaching interests include international relations, peacekeeping and humanitarian intervention, public opinion and foreign policy, U.S. and comparative foreign policy, human security, and advocacy groups. I am especially interested in how citizens and advocacy organizations influence foreign policy in democracies, particularly with respect to the use of force, civilian protection, and human rights. I am also interested in the politics of environmental protection and conservation.
Welcome!
